Afterschool Art Doing Good in Your Community!

 

We are eager to establish each Bright Horse afterschool art class as a viable source of charitable giving in the community. The format is simple! Each child donates one piece of artwork per ten week session which is displayed quarterly at a given public location. Once a year, a silent auction is held and the proceeds benefit vaious people and organizations in the community.

 

We are thrilled and grateful to begin displaying the CHCYMCA afterschool art students' artwork at Carol Woods this fall.

Who are the afterschool art instructors?

Bright Horse Art Director, Kim Greene, teaches afterschool art at several locations. She creates new art lessons year round so that the afterschool art instructors she hires and trains can present fresh material to students in every class. Continuing students can be sure that there are no repeats and new students can be sure that they will enjoy learning to draw from the very first lesson.

 

Bright Horse Founder and Equine Director, Cindy McWilliams, is an accomplished artist and will teach afterschool art classes at several locations, as well. Cindy is well loved for her sensitive ability to lead students through each lesson in our gentle step-by-step style. Cindy and Kim both believe that fostering creativity while offering guidance ensures that children will learn valuable life skills as well as gain confidence in their artistic abilities.

Fees and Details

$150.00 per 10 week session

  1. Pro-rated fees for late joiners and short sessions
  2. New students can join at any time
  3. Classes available in ten week sessions from September to May
  4. Register in advance for coming sessions to ensure your child’s seat in class
  5. Only payment reserves your child’s seat in any session
  6. Credit for future art classes/ camps/ workshops given in the event your child does not attend session registered for
  7. Refunds for afterschool art classes are granted only in the event of a medical or family emergency and are solely at the discretion of Bright Horse Art Director Kim Greene
  8. Make up classes available at Bright Horse Farm by appointment
  9. Missed classes not made up by May 31, 2010 are forfeit
  10. All materials provided

Registration

You must call Kim Greene at 919-929-1568 to register over the phone. Only Kim can add your child's name to the roster. Click here if you would like to download the registration form.

 

Payment

Once you have confirmed your child's seat with Kim please make your check for $150 per child payable to Bright Horse and mail it to us at:
