Kid Power

Think of a time of unlimited potential for expansion and growth—middle school! Teens and pre-teens now have the opportunity to prepare for the school year at our Bright Horse Kid Power mini-camp. Top facilitators will guide students in rising 7th and 8th grades through a course of the most current, creative learning modalities including innovative self-awareness activities with horses and self-discovery evaluations using experiential learning methods.

Bright Horse Equine Assisted Learning

Students are guaranteed to have a transformative learning experience at the Bright Horse headquarters facility only 15 minutes from Chapel Hill or Pittsboro. Our horses are selected for their suitability to interact with humans and our staff has received advanced certification in the field of Equine Assisted Learning. Experienced professional experts in human and animal behavior are present at all our sessions. When we team up with Britta Starke for the Bright Horse/Girl Power mini-camp, our approach is comprehensive and safe. The events the girls will experience are challenging and fun, but we do not ride!  Consider just a few of our activities: “Equine Pinball," “Life’s Little Obstacles” or “My World.” Every lesson learned will be fully integrated so the kids will “bring back gold” from their time at Bright Horse.

This camp usually runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and extended hours are available. Kids should bring their own lunch and drinks. Wear sunscreen, jeans and boots or sneakers. We will be inside for lunch and out of the sun in the middle of the day. All activities will be held rain or shine on the scheduled days.

The basic fee is for this camp is $249. Early and late arrivals will be charged $15 per hour as needed to suit your schedule.
